Designing for a professional social network platform
At Xing, I worked on the Membership team, collaborating to monetize paid features. I partnered with the Product Owner and Tech Lead to create seamless, user-focused interfaces across web, iOS, and Android.

The process
Every Ux challenge starts with discovery.
A highly collaborative and focused-on aligning cross-functional teams early in the development cycle. Working as part of a product trio, which included a product manager and a tech lead, we leveraged the Opportunity Solution Tree approach to map out user needs, identify key opportunities, and brainstorm potential solutions. This framework allowed us to ensure our efforts aligned with business goals and user value. By engaging the development team at these early stages, we validated technical feasibility and gained input that shaped the solutions from the outset. We prioritized validating assumptions through user research, prototyping, and iterative testing to ensure the proposed solutions effectively met user needs.
Opportunity example 1
Answer the question for the user ‘I don't know if a company is a good fit for me’.
What and why?
Help users, either jobseekers or not to determine what type of company culture fits them best
This as achieved through an assessment, as a first step to find companies that match their preferences and values.
If job seekers help them find the right company, and non-jobseekers help them discover more about themselves, and be informed of what else is out there that could better match their personal and professional goals.
